What we collect
How we use it
Who else can see it
We keep the list of third parties deliberately short. Your information is shared only with the services required to run this site and respond to you:
Hostinger hosts the website and its database, so anything submitted through the site is stored on their infrastructure.
Google Analytics receives usage data about your visit as described above.
Our email provider receives and stores enquiries sent to us.
We may also disclose information where the law requires it, or where it is necessary to establish or defend a legal claim. We will not hand over your information for any other reason.
Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have additional statutory rights. California residents have rights under the CCPA and CPRA, including the right to know, delete, correct, and opt out of sale or sharing. We do not sell or share personal information, so there is nothing to opt out of, but the other rights apply and we honour them. Residents of the UK and EEA have rights under the UK GDPR and GDPR, including access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection.
To exercise any of these, email hello@brooklynsearchlab.com. We will not charge you or treat you differently for asking.
Security, children, and changes
Security. The site is served over HTTPS and access to submitted enquiries is restricted to people who need it. No system is perfectly secure, but we do not retain information we do not need, and we do not collect payment details through this website.
Children. This site is aimed at businesses and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has submitted information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes. If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page. If the change is significant we will say so clearly rather than quietly editing the text.
Frequently asked questions
Do you sell my information?
No. We do not sell, rent, share for cross-context behavioural advertising, or trade personal information with anyone.
Do you use advertising or retargeting trackers?
No. The only third-party tracking on this site is Google Analytics 4, which we use to understand site usage. There are no advertising pixels, no remarketing tags, and no social media trackers.
What cookies does the site set?
The website itself sets no cookies for ordinary visitors. Google Analytics sets its own cookies (typically named _ga and _ga_ followed by an identifier) to distinguish repeat visits. If you log in to the site as an administrator, WordPress sets session cookies necessary for that login.
How long do you keep form submissions?
Enquiries are retained while there is a live business reason to keep them and are reviewed periodically. You can ask us to delete yours at any time and we will action it. Google Analytics data is retained according to the retention period set in that account.
Where is my data stored?
Website data is stored on our hosting infrastructure provided by Hostinger. Google Analytics data is processed by Google on its own infrastructure. Email correspondence is stored with our email provider.
Is my information transferred outside my country?
Possibly. Our hosting and Google Analytics operate internationally, so data may be processed in the United States and other countries. If you are in the UK or EEA and want more detail on transfer safeguards, email us and we will explain what applies.
How do I contact you about privacy?
Email us or call (718) 218-5211. We aim to respond within a few business days and will always tell you what we hold and remove it on request.
